Mitchell Irvine
My name is Mitchell Irvine I am 15 years old and live on the Central Coast of NSW.
I am a competitor in Australian Surf Life Saving (NSW).
It is an expensive sport, so to receive any kind of sponsorship is fantastic, Black Hill Transport have come to the rescue. Kelvin and his family business have provided a new Kracka Racing Mal, which as you can see is spectacular. Black Hill Transport are distributors for Elf Race Fuels and as you can see the Elf Logo dominates the front of the board.
I started Surf Life Saving when I was 7 years old as a Nipper at the Wamberal Surf Club; I was only there for a short while when I moved to the Shelley Beach Club not very far from there. The first couple of years were confined mainly to the beach doing sprints, flags and wades. In the under 9’s I started the Board [Foamie]. I attended all the local carnivals and the transferred to the Terrigal Surf Club where I currently am. With the help of my coaches I soon became the number 1 board paddler in the region.
Some achievements so far:
Board Relay [Gold] NSW Title – 2004
Board Relay [Gold] NSW Title – 2005

After having about 18 months off, due to injury I am now in the Seniors and I am competing in the under 17‘s. I am looking forward to a rewarding season as I train hard to improve my position, with the help of Black Hill Transport I feel that I’m on my way back to the top.
